We are delighted to congratulate Harry Willson, Trainee Engineer, who recently received an award for ‘Outstanding Achievement, Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering (Technical Support)’ from Bedford College.
Harry was presented with his certificate at the Bedford College Achievement Ceremony, which took place on 6th December at the Bedford Corn Exchange. Attended by many local dignitaries and representatives of the business and academic communities, this annual prize-giving event is the highlight of the college’s year and provides an opportunity to pay tribute to students who ‘go the extra mile’ during their studies to achieve exceptional success.
The college is now the largest in the region for 16-18 education, apprenticeship training, higher education and part-time education. Bedford College tutor, Dawn Fitt, commented that Harry’s dedication and application to his studies had been noted, despite the fact that he “quietly got on with his work”. She added that all his tutors agreed that he had been a pleasure to teach and had always completed his assignments on time.
Commented Pauline Nichols, Training Manager for The Automated Technology Group, “Harry has now successfully completed both his HNC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and his apprenticeship. He achieved Distinction grades for his course and is currently working on projects at both BMW Oxford and BMW Swindon, using multiple PLC platforms to upgrade their production facilities. We are delighted to have him on board with us at ATG.”
